Green Jobfish to Jutjaw

Green Jobfish

Green Jobfish
Jobfish(green)B.F.8kg
They are normally found along the edge of the reef and are very inquisitive. Lying on the bottom and throwing sand into the air is a good way to attract them into range. Trying to shoot them in mid water is not easy, and lying on the bottom will bring the larger fish in. They fight hard and a good shot is needed to land them. Vidal and sodwana are good spots for these fish.

Smoothtooth Red Jobfish

Rosy Jobfish
This colourful fish swims around in shoals and once again lying on the bottom will bring this fish in. I have shot them at no1 off durban and at kosi bay. They are not a common fish here in natal.

John Brown

John Brown B.F.2kg
This cape water fish has blue eyes. They are easy to approach and make good eating.
