Dorado

dorado
Dorado B.F. 8kg
The dorado are surface feeders and are normally encountered in clean, warm water. Any floating object out at sea can attract this fish, and it is always worth investigating any flotsam you come across. Some are shot during the sardine run. They are very inquisitive and will swim up to a diver. As they swim just below the surface, it is easy to not see this fish.

Elf or Shad

Shad
Elf(shad)B.F. 3kg
They migrate up the east coast in winter and are plentiful from june in natal waters. They congregate in large shoals around rocky points and attract other gamefish such as garrick, cuda, kob, and geelbek. Lying on the bottom where you have seen the shoal will bring them in to have a look. The closed season for this fish is from the 1september to 30november.
